Almost 3 year update!

So it has been 3 years since I posted on my blog, WOW that is a long time! Update I suppose is in order. :)

Bean is now 7 years old! The time really does fly by. She has become the sweetest little young lady ever! She is a gamer like her parents and doing well with school. I opted to homeschool her for the first year, and it went so well we have continued with the program.

Hubby and I have been through a very rough couple of years, but I think we are doing better for it. That is part of why I had not really bothered to update. If all you have are complaints, might as well keep your mouth shut! :) Though things are now almost better then ever, just took some hard work and us wanting things to work.

We are now expecting our second child in late May, early June and we are beyong happy about that. There have been a few complications so far, but so far baby is safe and sound.

Hubs is going through some schooling to be able to put on his next stripe, a promotion well earned! We are all very proud of him! He has extended for a year, but plans to put in another 4 years. We hope to be able to move more towards the East to be closer to family.

Other then that, no real news. :) Hopefully I can keep this updated now and again.

Jillian setting up the Nativity Scene

Here is Jillian setting up the nativity scene for our tree. I bought this nativity scene I think after Jillian was born. I thought it would give her something to see and play with at the same time. Our first nativity scene is on our mantel now and our second one ended up getting ruined. :( It was the neatest thing made out of wood and straw, but our christmas boxes ended up getting wet one year and then they got all moldy. :(

She was so excited to set up the scene, even if she was being camera shy.

Decorating for Christmas

Here is a video of us doing the beginning stages of decorating! The tree was up and I was stringing the cow lights on the tree... YES cow lights. That little touch of home. :) Dennis and Jillian were putting spongebob lights up in her room. She was very excited about that. :)

Doctor Visit Update

This is Jillian while we were waiting for the doctor in the ER. We were there from 6ish till almost midnight. UGH! We were only in the waiting room MAYBE an hour, so we figured it would be in and out. So while we were waiting we snagged some of the gloves in there and allowed her to check over her penguin.

We went into the ENT and he was a really nice guy and very friendly with Jillian and allowed her to sit on my lap to get checked out. She was a little weirded out by having him looking up her nose, but did well.

He told us that the Allergy medicine we were told to give her, was actually making it worse. He told us to go ahead and put saline in her nose once a day and vaseline twice a day. He said if in a few weeks it has not gotten better, then he will do a procedure that will stop the bleeding. We are hoping this will be enough.

She has not had a nosebleed since the day we went to the ENT, we put her to bed with the vaseline and she was sticking her finger in it wondering what the heck I had put in her nose and caused it to bleed. Though since then she is great, no nosebleeds! YAY!

Fun ER Trip

Well we were having a wonderful time as a family and we went to wal-mart to let Jillian and Dennis use the gift cards they had gotten for their birthdays. Jillian got bubble bath, some frog scrubber thing, littlest petshop tackle box looking thing, another littlest pet shop doll and that was her thing I think. Then Dennis got a new bluetooth.

We then ran to the mall to pick up Up that we had pre-ordered over a month ago. Then we let Jill pick where to eat. We ended up at Applebes with her new penguine she got at the disney store. We ordered drinks and our appitizer had eatten that and our food was on its way.

As we sat there Jillian got a concerned look on her face and then touched her nose. Then the blood just started POURING out of her face. Mind you these nosebleeds are a daily occurance and the doctors had assured us it was allergies, but after a year and a half of taking allergy medicine... that certainly is not the case here.

Then the bleeding got worse and after going through close to twenty napkins completely soaked I started to panic. The waitress at that point started to panic as she brought us more napkins and our food arrived. At that point a HUGE blood clot was pulled from her nose and the bleeding just got worse. Then blood started coming out of her eye and then another bloodclot. So we packed up the food and headed to the ER.

We get in sight of the ER and Jillian pulls the napkin away from her face and says, "I think it is done now." Then just sits there merrily with her ner chinchilla littlest pet shop toy (It is a limited edition and only comes with the tackle box thingie she had to have). We decided to go in anyways just to make sure since it was the most bizzare nosebleed to date.

We waited maybe 30 minutes to get into our room and then waited another hour till the doctor arrived. After 4 hours we were able to leave, but it was funny after waiting for an hour it was moments before the doctor got their and Jillian says, "There are no doctors in this hospital." Then just gives me a serious look. Like she was concerened for all those people she had seen waiting that they were not going to get to see a doctor.

They took her blood to make sure her bloodcount was good and that she can bleed properly. She came out clear but tomorrow we go to ENT (Ear Nose Throat) and they will check out her nose and let us know. I was amazed they got us in so soon. The doctor told us to get her in there within a week and she talked to the doc and got us an appointment for tomorrow morning.

So that is our plans for tomorrow. Find out what is wrong with our little girl. I will share the picture of Jillian with the gloves on checking over her penguine while we waited for her results to come back, tomorrow. Seems it is on Dennis' phone and I need to get him to send them asap.

First Hair Cut

Waiting patiently for her first haircut!

She was super nice and polite to Anita the woman that cut her hair.

She was so excited.

All done!

She had been begging for days to get a 'hair trim'. It was so adorable so Dennis finally gave in and allowed us to go get her hair cut. Mind you there was only, at the most, 2 inches taken off her hair. Its still super long, but now all evened out.
She introduced Dennis and I to Anita when she met her it was so cute, along with introducing herself. I am not sure when I got this kid, but she can be a terror and then the sweetest little princess ever. :) Though I am sure that is true with all kids.
